The leaf moved gracefully and effortlessly across the water's surface. Every time it moved, the sun shone on it in a different light, casting rainbow reflections on its moist, waxy body.

People and things sometimes surprise me. The phone hums to the wondrous melody of a lost lover's voice. The birds chirp, I realize I am awake. All is not lost, never.
